Hello my name is Shedrack Azuka OSADEBE (Eltaikun), I am the founder of a retail tech startup called MAJ and I would be writing a series inspired from the chapters from my book “GOD IS AN ENTREPRENEUR”.
Many people inspire to be technological entrepreneurs but many don’t have the navigation tools to become successful. Personally it’s almost a decade been a technological entrepreneur and I can tell you a solid fact, that it isn’t as rosy as the media paints it; the rollercoaster ride isn’t for the faint hearted.
Technological entrepreneurship and innovation can come through copying or creating and if you fall into the copying category then this wouldn’t be useful to you, but if you want to create from the loins of your consciousness then this series is for you — In plain English this write up isn’t for everybody.
A brief history concerning my success in technological entrepreneurship and why my write up should matter, my first ever validation funding came from one of Nigerian’s most prestigious business institutions (Tony Elumelu Foundation) for a solution I sold without a product on ground — but a vision of what could be (Enabling endless selling possibilities to everyone) and we are consistently working to enable that reality which would be launched in due time. Enough of me and more to the business on ground, there are strategies to enabling faith driven innovation which can stand the test of time and it takes a deep intercourse with an understanding and a perspective beyond human comprehension — When you tell people, they should call you crazy (due to its uniqueness) but when the clarity hit, you should think you’re crazy basically. When you read stories of genius like Nikolas Tesla and how he ended up, you would understand the need to understand the principle of “Problem Solving” because without solving a problem, an innovation can not be economically viable. So let’s dive in, shall we…
Entrepreneurship, at its core, is about solving problems and unleashing creativity to provide value that leads to the exchange of cash. It’s a simple yet profound concept that forms the very foundation of all successful business ventures. But where does this notion of problem-solving as the essence of entrepreneurship originate? Surprisingly, the ultimate role model for entrepreneurs can be found in the divine realm — God, the original problem solver.
Problem: The Void Before Time Began.
Before the dawn of time, there was nothing. No reference point, no physical matter, just emptiness. This primordial void was the ultimate problem waiting to be solved.
Solution: Divine Creativity in Action.
Out of the silence, without any pre-existing resources, God spoke into the darkness. His words were the catalyst for creation itself. In the twinkling of an eye, the wonders of light filled the cosmos. His very breath gave birth to planets, and with a sweep of His hand, a billion galaxies burst into existence. This divine act of creation illustrates a powerful entrepreneurial principle: every innovative idea, every groundbreaking business, and every world-changing product stems from a problem. The problem becomes an opportunity, and the founder’s mission is to solve it.
Business Case Studies.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin noticed the inefficiency of existing search engines. They revolutionized the internet by creating Google, which provided highly relevant and fast search results, making information accessible to everyone.

Jeff Bezos identified the challenges of buying goods online. Amazon addressed these issues by offering a seamless shopping experience, setting the standard for e-commerce and delivery services worldwide.
4. Airbnb: Solving the Problem of Home Rentals.
Airbnb founders Brian Chesky, Nathan Blecharczyk, and Joe Gebbia saw an opportunity in the lack of affordable and personalized accommodations for travelers. They turned spare rooms and empty apartments into a global network of lodging options.
5. Flutterwave and Paystack: Solving the Problem of Payment in Africa.
In Nigeria, two fintech giants, Flutterwave and Paystack, recognized the challenges of online payments and financial transactions. They developed user-friendly, secure platforms that have revolutionized digital finance in Africa.
Each of these businesses found a problem and offered a solution that not only met a need but also created new opportunities. Just as God’s creative act brought order out of chaos, successful entrepreneurs take an issue, develop an innovative solution, and create value that transforms industries and markets.
What Problem Are You Solving?
As you embark on your entrepreneurial journey, remember that at the heart of every successful venture is a problem solved. The true essence of entrepreneurship lies in identifying these problems, applying creativity, and offering solutions that bring value to others. Whether it’s improving an existing product, addressing an unmet need, or revolutionizing an industry, the question you must ask yourself is: What problem are you solving?
Just as God, the ultimate problem solver, brought light out of darkness and form out of void, you too can create something extraordinary by solving the problems you encounter in your entrepreneurial path. Embrace the divine blueprint of entrepreneurship, and you’ll find yourself on a transformative journey to create meaningful impact and prosperity.
