We delved into the notion that even the Almighty engaged in a form of research before embarking on the grand creation of our world. Today, we transition to a pivotal aspect of entrepreneurship: “Taking Immediate Action”. Before that, my sincerest apologies for the delay in continuing our series on “God is an Entrepreneur”. An unexpected turn of events demanded my attention, but I am back and eager to dive deeper into the entrepreneurial wisdom we find in the scriptures.
In the opening verses of Genesis, we witness a powerful demonstration of the principle of taking immediate action. After the Spirit of God had stirred the surface of the waters in Genesis 1:2 a crucial moment of action unfolded in Genesis 1:3 : “Let there be light”. This concise command marks a profound shift from research to creation, exemplifying the essence of taking immediate action. But what does this mean for us as entrepreneurs? How do we navigate this critical phase in our ventures, especially when resources are scarce? The answer lies in the wisdom of Habakkuk 2:2, where we are encouraged to “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.”
Here, we find the first and foremost step in the process of taking action is documentation. It is imperative to articulate the insights gleaned from our research in a clear and comprehensible manner. This serves as the blueprint for action, allowing stakeholders to not only grasp the vision but also be empowered to run with it. For potential investors, a well-documented vision provides a tangible framework for understanding the potential and promise of the venture. It paints a vivid picture of the journey ahead, instilling confidence and conviction in their investment. Likewise, for prospective team members, a clear document acts as a beacon, guiding them towards seamless onboarding and alignment with the venture’s mission.
In essence, documentation transcends the abstract and transforms vision into a tangible roadmap.
