“Before God uttered the words ‘Let there be light,’ the Earth was formless, void, shrouded in darkness — resembling life’s situations across business, relationships, education, career, health, all often laden with chaos and problems.
Observing further, the Spirit of God moved across the waters before the proclamation of ‘Let there be light.’ This parallels our natural inclination to research and seek solutions amidst our challenges, akin to God’s movement over the waters. Yet, this pursuit often leads us deeper into chaos. The concept of ‘Let there be light’ embodies the gift of awareness or revelation. Ignorance proves a perilous ailment, for what we lack understanding of, we cannot resolve. Light inherently reveals, but how do we harness this capability? Initially, we must acknowledge that in Genesis 2:27, post-creation, Adam possessed the capacity for awareness and revelation, evident in his ability to name things. However, with the fall, Adam lost this capacity due to the introduction of sin, causing the departure of God’s spirit, which is light. Crafted in God’s image (where image, in physics, reflects an object influenced by light), we, as human entities, necessitate His LIGHT to retain our divine reflection. This signifies our reliance on God to unlock solutions to most predicaments. With God’s presence and our quest for knowledge, He imparts insights through the declaration, ‘Let there be light.’
Moreover, examining Genesis, after God’s proclamation, the structured creation of the Earth commenced. Similarly, gaining awareness of a solution demands an acknowledgment of the process — recognizing that solving chaos and problems is iterative. Hence, employing structured thinking becomes paramount when confronted with an issue: define it, dissect it into components, and embark on the path to resolution — it’s not a singular endeavor.
